The good news about my job is that I can be completely ridiculous and over the top. My boss always says to keep kids engaged you have to be engaging. What other job can you make up silly songs, dress-up for themed lesson plans and play in the mud? I try and live in that moment and remember that no other job allows you to play in a ball pit, have an entire conversation through animal crackers and jump in a bounce house.
I can't tell you how often I come home and talk about my day, then my husband says "I can't believe you get paid to do that!" We are blessed with a great profession, aren't we!

I remember so many days that I come home with sand in my shoes because I'm out playing with my preschoolers at recess! What other job will let you play in the sand with kids?! :)

Liz, I needed this reminder! Sometimes I just get too bogged down in paperwork and I forget what fun my job really is! Friends are always jealous that I am paid to play 'Go Fish'!
